Ron from Fairbanks Alaska is about to set sail this Spring 2013 in his Floating Gazebo, built from our Floating Gazebo Plans. We will post more pictures and information as we get it.
Here is what Ron has done with the Floating Gazebo:
We are following your plans other than the following. We replaced the roof with an upper deck, extending 18" beyond the gazebo contained by a railing as found on the lower deck. Access is provided by means of a stairway running up the outside of a blank wall, we left out the rear window. We wired the gazebo for 110 volt power and provided an indoor ceiling light, running lights, and exterior lighting. Power will be provided my a 1 KW Honda generator. The gazebo is skinned inside and out with cedar fence boards that were finished on one side and T&G'd. The deck will be 2X6 AWW rather than the man made products. It will be lighter and less expensive. It will be powered by a 9 HP outboard installed at the rear and steered by means of a 36" ships wheel located in the gazebow. More info to come as we near completion!
